Sculptural coffee table formed by three cross-sections of parota trunk with natural live edge, mounted at different heights. Handcrafted in Mexico City.
Craftsmanship & Materials
This Multi-Level Parota Slice Coffee Table is assembled with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery reinforced by oak dowels. Tabletops are cut from single planks to preserve grain continuity, equilibrium-dried for Mexico City humidity, and sealed with hardening oils that can be re-buffed every 5–10 years. The product of 36 years perfecting the craft in CDMX.
At Carpiperg, every table starts from a hand-selected single plank. This piece can be customized in dimensions, species (tempered American Walnut, Mexican Tzalam, White Oak), base style (single pedestal, double pedestal, metal base), finish (hardening oil, European semi-matte lacquer), and genuine parchment cladding for statement pieces.
